Erie Insurance must be doing something right. The nations 14th largest auto insurer has won it’s third number one ranking in as many years. In 2008, 2009, and now 2010, Erie Insurance has ranked first in a J.D. Power and Associates’ annual ranking of customer satisfaction.
Terry Cavanaugh, chief executive of Erie Insurance, announced to his employees at their headquarters today, “While we celebrate, I would offer that employees from other companies are in meetings, talking about ways to improve,” as he lifted the award over his head, and the employees of the company cheered loudly.
The award is based on all around customer satisfaction. This includes customer service, prices, as well as coverage they receive on their automobile. The Erie Indemnity Company is the parent company of Erie Insurance, and is valued at 2.73 billion dollars. Their stock has recently (Yesterday) hit a 52 week high of $54.21.
