Vaccine DeathsEvery year around this time, people begin deciding on whether or not to get a Flu Vaccine. Usually in the case of older people, doctors suggest getting one every year. However, when a person is younger, there is a lot of debate over whether or not one should be given a vaccination.

With general vaccine deaths on the rise lately, there should definitely be some concern over any type of vaccination. In just this week, there have been 89 deaths reported in India from the Swine flu. Doctors there are suggesting people get the H1N1 vaccine.

However, also in India, there have recently been 4 children that have died moments after receiving a measles vaccine. The children were said to have fainted and then died after they had been vaccinated.

When it comes to deciding if you or your children should be vaccinated, it is always best to ask your physician for advice. Talk to him/her about risk factors before going forward with any vaccine. The Flu virus can be a deadly virus itself, whether it is just regular influenza, or H1N1. Usually the risk factors are greatly outweighed by the beneficial preventative effects a vaccine can provide, but not always. Talk to your doctor.
